This keynote is a heartfelt exploration, deconstruction, and redefining of our associations and feelings relating to the concept and act of failure.

For most, especially creatives and entrepreneurs, the simple notion of failure is massively fear and anxiety-inducing for a variety of personal, familial, and societally ingrained reasons.

Collectively, these conscious and subconscious associations, reactions, and interpretations are one of the most significant challenges for portrait photographers, new and seasoned alike, who are seeking to grow as artists, define visual signatures, build businesses and brands, and find joy, peace, place, purpose, and fulfillment in, with, and through their photography.

Failure is absolutely essential to personal, professional, and creative development and is the ultimate catalyst and conduit for growth. By radically redefining our relationship with failure, we can objectively relate to and interact with it functionally and healthily and see it for what it truly is: fuel for the fire of passions, aspirations, and dreams.
